Night Beat is the twelfth studio album by American R&B, soul, and rock and roll singer and songwriter Sam Cooke. Produced by Hugo & Luigi, the album was released in August 1963 in the United States by RCA Victor. Night Beat originated from late-night recording sessions by Cooke and a quartet of studio musicians in February 1963. It has been featured in "best-of" lists by contemporary music critics and regarded as one of Cooke's best.

Gaucho is the seventh studio album by the American jazz rock band Steely Dan, originally released on November 21, 1980 by MCA Records. The sessions for Gaucho represent the band's typical penchant for studio perfectionism and obsessive recording technique. To record the album, the band used at least 42 different musicians, spent over a year in the studio, and far exceeded the original monetary advance given by the record label.

Avalon is the eighth and final studio album by English rock band Roxy Music. Released in May 1982, it was recorded in 1981–82 at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, and is generally regarded as the culmination of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of the band's later work.
