The test is used to measure a student’s readiness for college, as well as to interpret overall academic performance in relation to the national applicant pool. Nearly every college in America accepts the SAT or SAT Subject Tests as a part of its admissions process. In addition to admission, many colleges use the SAT for course placement and/or scholarship consideration.
