Ci sono fotografie capaci di segnare un'epoca, di lasciare un segno, di sintetizzare mille parole. Immagini destinate a fissarsi per sempre nella nostra memoria e a costruire l'immaginario collettivo. Mario Calabresi, giornalista e grande appassionato di fotografia, ha viaggiato a lungo per incontrare gli autori di scatti divenuti ormai iconici e farsi raccontare quali emozioni li avessero attraversati mentre fermavano sulla pellicola un pezzo di Storia. Non può farlo chi si limita a osservare il mondo dall'alto, chi resta distante e distaccato, ma soltanto chi è pronto a calarsi anche nelle realtà più crude, chi si immerge nelle storie correndo rischi..
