Destinée initialement à une carrière de secrétaire, l’attrait du glamour et des paillettes va la faire dévier de sa sage trajectoire : s’étant présentée, en cachette de ses parents, à un concours de beauté, elle remporte le premier prix.

Special guests on Jumpin’ & Boppin’ include award-winning guitarist and labelmate Duke Robillard, as well as Russell Jackson, B.B. King’s long-time bassist, who locks-in the rhythm section. La tracklist,15 tracce per un doppio album, è una generosa incursione nella migliore musica italiana, dove le canzoni di De Gregori si alternano con quelle di autori come Paolo Conte, Pino Daniele, Antonello Venditti, dello stesso Zalone.

This Italian singer/songwriter and actress was born in Torre Annunziata in 1969. Making her debut at the famous Festivalbar singing contest in 1986 with the song "Ragazzo Solo" (Lonely Boy), she went on to become a popular recording artist. Specializing in Neapolitan pop, between 1993 and 2008 she recorded no fewer than nine albums, and in 2009 proved there was more than one string to her bow when she won the prestigious David di Donatello Award for her acting performance in Matteo Garrone's crime drama film Gomorra. In 2010 she performed at the Sanremo Music Festival, duetting with Nino d'Angelo on the song "Jammo Jà" (Come on Let's Go), and a year later her song "Ragione e Sentimento" (Hearts and Minds) featured on the soundtrack of the movie Tatanka. In 2013 she returned with the mini-album Libera (Free), heralding the record's arrival with another appearance at Sanremo, where she performed the songs "È Colpa Mia" (It's My Fault) and "Quando Non Parlo" (When I Do Not Speak).

Universal Music Jazz vient de rééditer une dizaine de disques du catalogue d’OWL Records, dont « Il Paciere », le premier disque qu’Aldo Romano enregistra sous son nom. Le batteur a alors une trentaine d’années, il vient de tomber sous le charme d’un jeune guitariste prometteur, Claude Barthélémy et décide d’entrer en studio avec lui. La grande majorité d’Il Paciere est constituée de morceaux enregistrés par les deux compères. Jean François Jenny-Clark vient les rejoindre sur un titre très libre, et Romano délaisse sa batterie pour accompagner à la guitare sèche Michel Portal sur deux plages.
