Sony Music Masterworks today introduces New Masters, a rotating ensemble of today’s leading, up-and-coming and established jazz musicians, as they take on today’s biggest charting-topping hits for a new genre-defying project entitled ReWORKS. Available everywhere now is ReWORKS – Vol. 1 lead offering, Juice WRLD’s breakthrough hit “Lucid Dreams,” as arranged by guitarist Gilad Hekselman. “Lucid Dreams” is the first track from ReWORKS – Vol. 1, which is set for release Friday, July 12 and will feature songs originally performed by Cardi B, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, SZA and more.

'Never change a winning team' – The old sporting wisdom can also be applied to music: When soul mates and perfectly matched musicians find one another, they are well advised to stick together. 'Liberetto II' by the exceptional Swedish bassist and cellist Lars Danielsson is the living proof. Three years ago he found a quartet with the former e.s.t. drummer Magnus Öström, the British guitarist John Paricelli and most of all as a new dream team duo with Armenian pianist Tigran. It interpreted his compositions and realised his musical ideas more precisely than probably any ensemble before it.

The singular pianist Simon Mulligan begins a survey of Percy Grainger’s complete piano music on the Steinway & Sons label. This first volume includes heartfelt performances of Grainger’s most beloved melodies and folksong settings.

British pianist Simon Mulligan is, according to The Times of London ‘the most abundantly gifted of pianists’, to Steinway & Sons he is ‘the world’s most versatile pianist’; Pulitzer prizewinning composer Paul Moravec calls him ‘a pianist with complete mastery of the instrument’, while Herbie Hancock says ‘You have a phenomenal touch, man!’ In addition to his extensive discography and vast repertoire, Mulligan’s solo work gains praise from critics and audiences alike, and his collaborations include performances and recordings with Yehudi Menuhin, Joshua Bell, Leonard Slatkin and Sting.He has performed all over the world, most notably at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wigmore Hall and Royal Albert Hall in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, as well as private performances for Her Majesty the Queen and President Barack Obama. His keen interest in film composition led to a long association with composer Michael Kamen, culminating in his performance on the soundtrack to Spielberg’s Band of Brothers. He has led his own jazz quartet since he was thirteen, which has performed in major international festivals. His eclectic work has led to profiles in Downbeat, JazzTimes, BBC Music, Classic fM, and Gramophone magazines, among others.Simon is a recipient of the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Music, and his teachers include Alexander Kelly, Murray Perahia, Alfred Brendel and Alexis Weissenberg.

It was in 2006 that the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Stéphane Desbiens and author Francis Foy founded D Project. The first album « Shimmering Lights » evoked a mix of different music styles; progressive rock, classical, metal including jazz. In 2008, was the release of the album «Sagarmatha Dilemma», for which the music was inspired by Mount Everest images and its conquest by the climber Maxime Jean. In 2011, D Project offered a more rock and direct sound with the album « Big Face », Then came the album « Making Sense » which arrived just in time for the band to offer a memorable performance at the 2014 Quebec Summer Festival with Marillion. Moreover, part of the sound of the last three albums was produced by Andy Jackson, Pink Floyd sound engineer. D Project always surrounded themselves with prestigious musician and artists. D Project is a mix of Pink Floyd, Genesis and King Crimson, but with a personal touch and characteristic sound. ‘’Pink Floyd meets Classic rock’’ ‘’Find your Sun’’.
