BALKAN SAX is a new playable alto sax that captures the style and nuances of balkan music and beyond, ideal for lots of musical genres, from jazz, pop, traditional music, Bregović-like scores and world music.

ALTO SAX evokes the sounds of an alto saxophone with the necessary articulations for a good representation of the instrument.

This sax growls, soars and roars. The style originates in 1950's rock 'n' roll, but the sound is a timeless cross-genre staple featured in 60's R&B, soaring ballads of the 70's, and instrumental television themes of the 80's and 90's.

Explore contemporary woodwind performance with a unique textural woodwind ensemble, recorded in collaboration with composer Dan Keen. The 6-piece ensemble, consisting of saxophones, clarinets, and flutes delivers an earthy and intimate sound, perfect for emotive scoring.

We've always loved the sound of jazz-influenced film scores. The orchestral approach to jazz harmony has a romantic flair that is irresistible and has easily stood the test of time. We just can't get enough of sweeping string passages, the sound of a trumpet's harmon mute, a big band sax section, flugelhorn and trombones with french horns.
