is an American comic book series published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. The stories are fictional but set in and around historical events during the Viking Age. Northlanders is written by Brian Wood, illustrated by various artists on a per storyline basis with painted cover art by Massimo Carnevale. The first issue of the series was published on December 5, 2007. Wood has said that the series will be divided into standalone eight issue story arcs separated by two-issue arcs. Northlanders does not have a true main character; the cast and setting change with each story arc. Issue #20 finally changes that by reuniting readers with Sven, the protagonist of the first arc. It is a worthy sequel to "Sven the Returned" and a perfect standalone issue. This series may perhaps be one of the best monthly comic books ongoing, along with the Robert Kirkman's .

Explorations on consciousness and identity, dark, heavy tones, a breakneck pace that never lets up and twists and turns at every corner give you , a thre-part miniseries by writer Nick Spenser and artist Ron Salas from Image Comics. It is what you'll probably get when you take a Philip Dick short story, immerse it in the trappings of the noir genre and set it to the pace of the movie . In fact this miniseries has more twists and turns than most books have in a 24 issue run. The typical formula for a three issue mini is as follows: first issue, introduce characters/situation; second issue create shocking situation/problem; and third issue, solve the problem. Every single issue of this mini introduced new shocking revelations up to the ending of the third issue. It will leave you dizzy with your head floating somewhere and wanting for more--which is what you'll get because sometime in the weeks to come they'll release Existence 3.0 and you'll be scratching your head wondering how the hell are they going to top this one.

Revolutionary Elite Brigade to Eradicate L.E.G.I.O.N. Supremacy (R.E.B.E.L.S.) is the name of two separate fictional revolutionary paramilitary groups in the DC Comics Universe. Both incarnations are basically the same team of ex-lawmen on the run from their former peace-keeping organization, L.E.G.I.O.N. (Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network), the forerunner of the Legion of Superheroes, and are led by Vril Dox, aka Brainiac 2. The 2nd team makes up the current comic-book series published by DC Comics which debuted in February 2009 (cover date April 2009). Writer Tony Bedard and artist Andy Clarke comprise the creative team. In the ongoing story Dox finds his authority of L.E.G.I.O.N. usurped a second time. Hunted by the organization he founded, Dox once again assembles a team in hopes of regaining control of L.E.G.I.O.N. In issue #9 Adam Strange and Captain Comet join the R.E.B.E.L.S.

was an American horror-comics magazine launched by Warren Publishing in 1964. Like MAD, it was a black-and-white newsstand publication in a magazine format and thus did not require the approval or seal of the Comics Code Authority. The anthology magazine was initially published quarterly but later went bimonthly. Each issue's stories were introduced by the host character, Uncle Creepy. Its sister publications were and . It would enjoy a run of 145 issues, the last released in February 1983, then Warren went bankrupt. Thereafter Harris Publications bought the rights after Warren's bankruptcy and published a single issue (#146) in 1985. In 2000, after a protracted legal dispute with Harris Publications, Jim Warren and Warren Publishing finally regained sole ownership of all rights to his two iconic and flagship comic book franchises and . In February 2007, New Comic Company, LLC completed a total rights acquisition from Warren and his entity for all rights to Creepy and Eerie, after seven years of effort. In July 2009, Dark Horse Comics and New Comic Company LLC released the new comic, in black-and-white like the original series. It was initially planned to be a quarterly publication, but issue #2 was not released until November 25, 2009. Quite an eclectic bunch of above-average stories, definitely helped by the "creepy" black and white.
