Heritage is an album by Earth, Wind & Fire released on Columbia Records. It was produced by the band's leader Maurice White was released in January 1990. Heritage went to number 19 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts and the single Heritage peaked at number 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The album also featured an appearance by Sly Stone of Sly and the Family Stone on the track Good Time.

Jagger employs a who's who including Herbie Hancock, Pete Townshend, and Jeff Beck for an album that replaces the familiar sound of the Stones with a more sophisticated but no less hard-rock sound. This is a rather unusual tribute to Herbie Hancock on a couple different levels. There is no piano on the date, so obviously no one is heard trying to sound like Hancock; the intimate all-star trio (bassist Christian McBride, trumpeter Nicholas Payton and guitarist Mark Whitfield) avoids such typical Hancock hits as "Watermelon Man" and "Maiden Voyage," and several of the songs are real obscurities. The 14 Hancock compositions date from 1962-79, with one tune from 1985, so they do not cover his later output.
