Open Our Eyes is the fifth album by Earth, Wind & Fire. Released in 1974, this was the album that was the beginning of where the group would go next, featuring their first certified hit song, "Mighty Mighty". The album also includes "Kalimba Story", "Devotion", and "Fair But So Uncool". The 2001 remaster for Columbia Legacy features a few unreleased songs not on the original album. The MP3 version has an additional interlude recorded for the album but not released until it was placed on The Eternal Dance box set.

It features most of EW&F's Top Ten R&B hits; it’s missing “Mighty Mighty,” “Kalimba Story,” “Got to Get You into My Life,” and “Let Me Talk.” This is an adequate option for those who want the biggest hits and nothing else, but the EW&F catalog is so deep that serious soul fans should strongly consider a more extensive overview, such as the two-disc The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire, released in 2002. -AllMusic Review by Andy Kellman

That's The Way Of The World is the sixth album by Earth, Wind & Fire, released in 1975. This was the album that brought them to the top of the pop charts with hit songs "Shining Star" and the title track, plus album favorites like "Reasons", "Happy Feelin'", and "Africano". This 1999 remaster from Columbia Legacy also features bonus tracks of songs not on the original album. The MP3 version also adds an "alternate version" of "Shining Star" taken from The Eternal Dance box set.
