Sound Of Silence Disturbed

Live at Red Rocks captures Disturbed's August 15, 2016 show at the fabled Colorado amphitheater where the band stopped during their tour in support of current album Immortalized, which has been certified Gold. The album features songs spanning Disturbed's 20-year-career, including Mainstream Rock chart hits "Down With The Sickness", "Stricken", "Inside the Fire", "Indestructible", "The Vengeful One", "The Light", and their now Platinum-certified version of Simon & Garfunkel's classic hit "The Sound of Silence".

Disturbed recently announced that their seventh album, Evolution, will arrive on October 19th, and in a new interview, frontman David Draiman is setting the bar high for the disc. In fact, he calls the upcoming effort the band’s “Black Album”, referring to Metallica‘s iconic self-titled 1991 release.

The upcoming release follows 2010's gold-certified Asylum, Disturbed's fourth consecutive #1 on the Billboard Top 200, and the group's subsequent four-year hiatus, which gave members David Draiman [vocals], Dan Donegan [guitar], Mike Wengren [drums], and John Moyer [bass] the necessary reprieve to make this imminent and deliberate return. "The idea was to leave when we were at our peak, which we were, and to come back when we felt reinvigorated," asserts Draiman. And Donegan agrees: "We wanted to return when we collectively had that fire underneath us. We missed it so much that we could tap into this energy and deliver the right album."
