The 2012 box set Classic Album Selection rounds up all the albums Soundgarden released between 1989 and 1996 – Louder Than Love, Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, Down on the Upside – and adds the 2011 live album Live on I-5, which itself is comprised of recordings from the 1996 tour supporting Down on the Upside. All five of the albums are presented as mini-LPs in paper sleeves, making this a handsome, easy way to acquire the prime of Soundgarden's career.

King Animal is the sixth studio album by American rock band Soundgarden. The album was released on November 13, 2012, by Seven Four Entertainment and Republic Records in the United States and Vertigo Records in the rest of the world. Produced by both the band and Adam Kasper, the album is the band's first in sixteen years, and the first not to be released on A&M Records since 1988's Ultramega OK. However, Republic, Vertigo and A&M are all owned by Universal Music Group. It is also the last album to feature founding singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, who died suddenly in May 2017 after performing a show with the band.

A-Sides is a compilation album by the American rock band Soundgarden with songs spanning the band's thirteen-year career. AllMusic staff writer Stephen Thomas Erlewine gave the album four and a half out of five stars. He said, "For an act that was one of the definitive album artists of the late '80s and '90s, Soundgarden was a surprisingly effective singles band. Their singles effectively conveyed all of their best ideas, from their sludgy early Sub Pop recordings to the elaborate, post-metal psychedelia of their last two albums, Superunknown and Down on the Upside. That's the reason why the 17-track compilation A-Sides is such a successful overview of the band's too-brief career."

This remixed and expanded reissue of Soundgarden’s Ultramega OK is a long-planned “correction” of the legendary band’s Grammy®-nominated debut full-length. The album was originally recorded and released in 1988 on SST Records. While the band enjoyed working with the original producer, Drew Canulette, they soon realized they weren’t quite happy with the final mix. Thus, shortly after the album’s release, the band decided to remix the album for subsequent pressings.

Recorded on May 1, 2006 at Kentish Town Forum, Live from London 2006 features the amassed crew of Mike Patton, Buzz Osborne, Dave Lombardo, Trevor Dunn, Dale Crover and Sir David Scott Stone. Filmed by Douglas Pledger, Matthew Rozeik and Alex Gunnis the music is culled from the sole FantômasMelvins Big Band release (Millennium Monsterwork) as well as music from both the Melvins and Fantômas catalogues. Bonus feature is an audio commentary with Danny DeVito, Ipecac co-owner Greg Werckman, booking agent Robby Fraser, Melvins' Dale Crover and Buzz Osborne.
