Stand Up was the first album where Anderson controlled the music and lyrics, resulting in a group of diverse songs that ranged from the swirling blues of “A New Day Yesterday” and the mandolin-fueled rave-up of “Fat Man,” to the group’s spirited re-working of Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Bouree in E Minor.” In a recent interview, Anderson picked Stand Up as his favorite Jethro Tull album, “because that was my first album of first really original music. It has a special place in my heart.” The first disc features Steven Wilson’s new stereo mixes of the original album, along with a number of rare recordings, including an unreleased version of “Bouree.” Other highlights include four songs recorded at the BBC, plus stereo single mixes for “Living In The Past” and “Driving Song”…

In such turbulent times it's important to stand closely together as humanity instead of fighting each other. That's exactly what the new Firewind album 'Stand United' is about! In addition to societal problems and environmental issues, which are the main topic in ten new tracks, we are expecting the strongest masterpiece of band history. In line with the new release, the band around ex Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Gus G. and vocalist Herbie Langhans (formerly Avantasia) will spread their message of 'Stand United' all over Europe in spring 2024. Combined with MASTERPLAN they will play a big co-headliner tour, among Germany, France, Spain, Sweden and many other countries.

If You Can't Stand the Heat isn't so hard and heavy as Quo or Blue for You, but it incorporates subjects – the electric guitars filling everywhere again, the groovy boogie spirit – that recover the rocking essence they seem to have lost only one year before…

"Stand Your Ground" features 8 new songs and was analogously recorded in the completely renewed The Van Studios of Jan and Paul Schuurman in Spakenburg, The Netherlands in December 2018. It is the tenth studio album of the Dutch Blues-Rocker and his sixteenth if the various live albums are included. Asked about his new album, Julian tells us that Stand Your Ground has become a ‘back-to-basics’ record. Uncompromising, earthy and without frills. Proud, with passion and faith in what we do and who we are. After a year of extensive touring, it was time to capture that energy in new music. We deliberately opted for good preparation and a short recording process.

Steve Morse started his career as the lead guitarist for the Dixie Dregs. He then formed the Steve Morse Band and released numerous albums over the 80's & 90's. Stand Up was their 2nd album release, issued in 1985. It features guest artists Eric Johnson, Peter Frampton, T. Lavitz, Albert Lee & Mark O'Connor.

Stand in Line is the first studio album by heavy metal band Impellitteri, released in 1988 through Relativity Records. The album reached No. 91 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and remained on that chart for twenty weeks. Whitney Z. Gomes at AllMusic gave Stand in Line four stars out of five, noting "Secret Lover", "Tonight I Fly", "Goodnight and Goodbye" and the title track as highlights. He mainly praised singer Graham Bonnet's vocals throughout the album, but heavily criticized the guitarist and bandleader Chris Impellitteri's cover versions of "Since You Been Gone" and "Over the Rainbow" as "excessive and useless", writing that they "almost [run] the record into the ground". Further criticism was directed at the album's mixing and production, but he concluded by saying, "When Stand in Line works, it rules."

When Falty DL released his 2009 debut on Planet Mu, Love is a Liability, it was notionally tied to dubstep, despite not sounding much like the sound at the time. A combination of irregular but still funky drums, bass and light musical surfaces, it stood out and was recognised for it’s distinctiveness - this was a native New Yorker interpreting his love of British dance music from a unique angle.
