Black Star Riders are back – with a new album, a new line-up, and what frontman Ricky Warwick calls “a new energy and chemistry”. In the seven years since Warwick and legendary guitarist Scott Gorham put Black Star Riders together, they have made three of the finest hard rock albums, “All Hell Breaks Loose”, “The Killer Instinct” and “Heavy Fire”, of modern times. Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick created Black Star Riders out of the modern version of Thin Lizzy, the band in which Gorham had served in its golden age during the 1970s on classic albums including “Jailbreak”, “Bad Reputation”, “Live And Dangerous” and “Black Rose”. Rounding out the Black Star Riders line up is guitarist Christian Martucci, formerly of Stone Sour, bassist Robert Crane, formerly of RATT and Vince Neal, and drummer Chad Szeliga, formerly of Breaking Benjamin and Black Label Society.

Quartet Records, in collaboration with Universal Music Group and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, is glad to present the premiere release of the complete score composed, orchestrated and conducted by Ennio Morricone for State of Grace, the 1990 cult mafia-drama film directed by Phil Joanou, starring Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Robin Wright, Ed Harris, John Turturro, John C. Really, Burgess Meredith and Joe Vitarelli. The legendary Morricone won an Oscar for The Hateful Eight and has composed many other outstanding scores, including The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Sacco and Vanzetti, Days of Heaven, Cinema Paradiso, Malena, En mais fais ce qu’il te plait and many others. State of Grace is about Terry Noonan (Penn), who returns home to New York's Hell’s Kitchen after a ten-year absence. He soon hooks up with childhood pal Jackie (Oldman), who is involved in the Irish mob run by his brother Frankie (Harris). Terry also rekindles an old flame with Jackie's sister Kathleen (Wright). Soon, however, Terry is torn between his loyalty to his friends and his loyalties to others.

Another State of Grace is the fourth studio album by hard rock band Black Star Riders, released on September 6, 2019. Black Star Riders evolved from the touring version of Thin Lizzy, assembled by guitarist Scott Gorham after the death of Thin Lizzy's leader Phil Lynott. The band's first three albums, All Hell Breaks Loose, The Killer Instinct, and Heavy Fire, were released in 2013, 2015, and 2017 respectively. It was the first Black Star Riders album to feature new guitarist/songwriter Christian Martucci and drummer Chad Szeliga. Upon its release, the album reached number one in the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.

Grace has a terminal brain tumour and will die in the next few months. Roman has an addiction to blood, and could possibly live forever.
Grace is twenty-seven years old. When they meet in the twelfth century Roman is several hundred years old.
