Never a Dull Moment is the fourth solo album by rock musician Rod Stewart. It was released in the summer of 1972; that year it became a UK number-one album for two weeks and reached number two on the US Album chart. The track "You Wear It Well", co-written by Stewart and classical guitarist Martin Quittenton, was a smash hit (another UK No. 1; in US No. 13), as well as "Twisting the Night Away", a song originally recorded and written by Sam Cooke. Like many of Stewart's albums from the era, Never a Dull Moment features significant musical contributions from the members of his band Faces. Other guest musicians included Ray Jackson of the band Lindisfarne on mandolin, Spike Heatley on upright bass, Gordon Huntley on steel guitar, Dick Powell on violin and Pete Sears on piano and bass.

„Never A Dull Moment“ picks up where „Every Picture Tells A Story“ left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ('Angel'), Dylan ('Mama You Been On My Mind'), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ('Twistin' The Night Away').

Gatton was such a genre-jumper that he never found a commercial niche; instead, he was the guitarist's guitarist, fluent and fluid in various forms of rock, country, jazz, and blues. But he clearly had an innate fondness for country, especially bluegrass (perhaps that's what made him the fastest picker of his time). Among the country-oriented highlights here are the scintillating "Redneck Jazz," the rockabilly "Love My Baby" (with Robert Gordon singing), "Sun Medley" (with Delbert McClinton's Fogerty-esque barking), and "Linus and Lucy/Orange Blossom Medley," in which "Steel Guitar Rag" flashes by in a blur. But his country flair also manifests itself in more subtle ways (fingerpicking the blues, for example). If you don't mind a crash course in other American music mixed in with your country–it's not like being forced to eat beets with your burger, after all–then Gatton's your man. –John Morthland

The Star Tones were formed in 2007, following our debut album "Embassy Sessions" on Foot Tapping Records. However, Rusti & Stewart go way, way back (longer than we'd like to admit) to the "Pre Tin Tax" age, playing in a band called "The Jumpin' Jax" during the early 80s. Success in the form of Fame without the Fortune came along for us when we formed Rusti Steel & the Tin Tax in 1986. After many albums, radio & TV work and extensive touring of Europe, Scandinavia & UK (in which we made so many great friends - it's so good to catch up with some of you on Facebook!), the Tin Tax finally split amicably around 1999/2000.

"Truth" is famed guitarist Jeff Beck's debut album originally released in 1968. The record includes his backup band derived of Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood. "Truth" made it to number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart.
