Warren Haynes, Billy Gibbons and Mickey Raphael feature on a rendition of "Mean Mistreatin' Mama". Crooner Tom Jones lends his voice to "Done Somebody Wrong". Keb Mo' performs "Look On Yonder Wall" and Bettye LaVette sings "Person To Person". Also featured are Rodney Crowell, Jamey Johnson, and more.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is an American television series created by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet for the streaming service Paramount+. It is the 11th Star Trek series and debuted in 2022 as part of Kurtzman's expanded Star Trek Universe. A spin-off from Star Trek: Discovery, it follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship USS Enterprise as they explore new worlds throughout the galaxy during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series.

Yet even with her impressive resume, covering one of America’s most beloved singer-songwriters is tricky territory to wade into. Nonetheless, that’s exactly what the New York-based indie rock musician did this past summer by recording a cover version of Daniel Johnston’s 1984 album Retired Boxer.

"Strange Highways" is the sixth studio album by the American heavy metal band Dio. After the short-lived reunion with Black Sabbath for the recording of the album "Dehumanizer" (1992) and the subsequent tour, Dio and Appice returned to Dio's solo group, hiring Tracy Grijalva as new guitarist. Former Dio bassist Jimmy Bain was to make a return to the band, but he was soon sacked by Dio and replaced by Jeff Pilson.

Strange Beautiful Music is the ninth studio album by guitarist Joe Satriani, released on June 25, 2002 through Epic Records; a Super Audio CD edition was released on September 10. The album reached No. 140 on the United States Billboard 200 and remained on that chart for a week, as well as reaching the top 100 in four other countries. "Starry Night" received a nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 2003 Grammy Awards; this being Satriani's twelfth such nomination. The title of Strange Beautiful Music is also the name of Satriani's publishing company.

Tashi Wada's first new album in over five years is also his most surprising, comprising a set of elevated, poetic songs that draw from psych-rock, new age and ambient, leaving the tonally rich, avant-minimal drone he's most widely associated with to simmer in the background. It's gorgeous, subtly extravagant "Dream Music" - one for fans of Julia Holter (who appears here on vocal duties), Jim O'Rourke, Rafael Toral, Joanna Brouk, Terry Riley.

Felt is a late 1970s British indie-rock cult band founded by the mononymous individual Lawrence. The Strange Idols Pattern and Other Short Stories is the third album that Felt has released. Their unique rock sound can be heard on tracks like Roman Litter, Sunlight Bathed the Gold Glow, and Crystal Ball.
