Studio Ars

Florian Klaus Rumpf takes us on a musical walk through his adopted country. In doing so, he acoustically stages his favorite places with works for mandolin, baroque mandolin, mandola and liuto cantabile from the most diverse cultural circles. Each of the pieces is associated with a Hamburg landmark, whose mood, statement or history is reflected in the music.

One of the many fascinating aspects of music is its versatility - from deep melancholy and sadness to cheerful verve and joy, from tranquil idyll to dramatic impetus, it measures every conceivable state of mind. The present, very personal recording of the Lithuanian female musician duet - Ieva and Marija Dudaite - proves this and the title of the recording convincingly: INSEPARABLE.

Often described as a more radio-friendly version of Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers, the Atlanta Rhythm Section was one of many Southern rock bands to hit the upper reaches of the charts during the late '70s. Hailing from the small town of Doraville, Georgia, the beginning of the Atlanta Rhythm Section can be traced back to 1970. It was then that a local recording studio was opened, Studio One, and the remnants of two groups (the Candymen and the Classics Four), became the studio's house band. One of the facility's head figures, Buddy Buie, soon began assembling the session band – singer Rodney Justo, guitarist Barry Bailey, bassist Paul Goddard, keyboardist Dean Daughtry, and drummer Robert Nix. After playing on several artists' recordings, it was decided to take the band a step further and make the group of players a real band, leading to the formation of the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Buie soon became an invisible fifth member of the fledgling band; he served as their manager and producer, in addition to providing a major hand in the songwriting department.

Giuseppe Bruno graduated with honors in Piano, Composition and Conductorship with Professors Specchi, Zangelmi and Taverna. Maestro Bruno specialized in piano with Paolo Bordoni and in conductorship with Leopold Hager. He has attended a seminar in composition at the IRCAM in Paris.

Italian vocal and chamber ensemble Nova Ars Cantandi is led by founder Giovanni Acciai on the world premiere recording of Arpa Davidica by Baroque composer Tarquinio Merula. This album, released in 2015, commemorates the 350th anniversary of Merula's death.
