Nell'albergo di un paesino tra la Grecia e l'Albania nel 1943 si alternano secondo le vicende della guerra i quartier generali del colonello italiano Di Maggio e del colonnello inglese Henderson,tra i due nasce anche una amicizia tanto che si salvano la vita a turno.Ma quando i tedeschi ordinano a Di Maggio di radere al suolo il paese ,questi si rifiuta e viene condotto davanti al plotone di esecuzione.Henderson con le sue truppe lo salva e dopo l'8 settembre insieme combattono il nemico comune.

Il ladruncolo Ferdinando riconosciuto dall'italo americano Locuzzo per avergli rifilato una patacca viene inseguito dal sergente Bottoni ma riesce a scappare.Il sergente ,in borghese,tende una trappola di danni di Ferdinando facendo entrare in intimità le due famiglie.In occasione di un pranzo conviviale Ferdinando cade nel tranello ma Bottoni non se la sente più di arrestarlo.Il ladruncolo consapevole che con quel gesto il sergente perderebbe il propio posto di lavoro si fa portare a forza in questura.

The film has three stories. First is about local village idiot Paletta, who can not afford the services of a whore and so steals a locket from a holy shrine belonging to local mafia don. Second shows the story of betrayal of Pitrinu (who's dead now) by his lover Fefe. Final episode is about lowlife Lazarus. He is killed by mob boss Toto, but raised from the dead by a local messiah, who is also known as Toto (and is played by same actor).
