Although this hit soundtrack was recorded with cheap '70s synthesizers, the simple scores composed by John Carpenter are acclaimed masterpieces. Carpenter sets the mood for his horrific movie with such tracks as "The Shape Stalks," "Laurie's Theme," and, of course, his main theme, which consists of the beating out of a 5-4 rhythm. The full details of the soundtrack album for the live-action/animated feature Tom & Jerry have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Lennertz (The Boys, Lost in Space, Horrible Bosses, Sausage Party, Agent Carter, Baywatch, Supernatural). Tom & Jerry is directed by Tim Story and stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Colin Jost, Rob Delaney and Ken Jeong. The movie follows Jerry as he moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. The comedy will be released in theaters nationwide on February 26 by Warner Bros. Pictures and will also be available to stream on the same day on HBO Max.

This Americana based soundtrack features new and classic songs from Sara Watkins, (Nickel Creek, I’m With Her), Gregory Alan Isakov and The Staple Singers, among others, as well as a score composed by Zach Dawes, Jonathan Sadoff and members of The Punch Brothers, winners of the 2018 Grammy for Best Folk Album.

Utilizing the full range of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Choristers of Westminster Abbey, and a small ensemble of traditional folk instrumentalists, Horner largely eschews the bombast typical of the genre and cuts a more emotionally complex–and satisfying–musical course through this 14th-century tale of betrayal and rebellion. Most celebrated for his alternating touching and dynamic orchestral film scoring, Joe Hisaishi is a prolific Japanese composer of classical works, film scores, and experimental electronic and animation music who is best known for his beloved collaborations with Studio Ghibli animation director Hayao Miyazaki on classics films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle.Born Mamoru Fujisawa in Nakano, Japan, Hisaishi began studying the violin at age five and went on to major in music composition at the Kunitachi College of Music. He released his first album in 1981. Titled Mkwaju, it was written for percussion ensemble with keyboard and computer programming. That was followed in 1982 by Information, credited to Hisaishi and his oft-used pseudonym for collaborators, Wonder City Orchestra. 1983 marked his first film score and first collaboration with Miyazaki, on 1984's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

2021 sees the release of Rob Simonsen’s latest collaboration with director Jason Reitman, with his score for Ghostbusters: Afterlife following their previous films together: The Front Runner and Tully. Other recent film scores include The Friend, The Way Back, and Love, Simon. Based in Los Angeles and ever with his finger on the pulse of contemporary music, he co-founded the influential collective The Echo Society with the mission ‘to inspire, challenge, enrich and connect the community through the creation and performance of new sonic and visual art’. Simonsen’s debut artist album Reveries was released in 2019 on Sony Masterworks.
