This is the first studio album of original material since 1995's Tales From The Punchbowl with the classic Primus line-up of Les Claypool (vocals, bass), Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim Alexander (drums). The Desaturating Seven is inspired by a 1970's children's book Claypool often read to his kids when they were growing up. The book tells a story of seven goblins one representing each color of the rainbow who simultaneously pull all of the color out of the world.

Cappella Amsterdam & Daniel Reuss - Lassus: Penitential Psalms (2025)
FLAC (tracks), Lossless +Booklet | 2:02:55 | 550 Mb
Genre: Classical

Cappella Amsterdam and its celebrated chief conductor Daniel Reuss present an integral recording of Lassus' Penitential Psalms. Building on their exquisite recording of Schnittke's Psalms of Repentance, this release explores new dimensions in the theme of penitence and marks a significant return to Renaissance repertoire following their celebrated PENTATONE debut album In Umbra Mortis. The album pairs Lassus' austere and introspective music with images from the richly-illustrated original score, one of the most visually beautiful manuscripts ever created. Under Daniel Reuss' artistic direction of over thirty years, the choir has garnered numerous accolades, including an Edison Klassiek Award for In Umbra Mortis (2021). This album was followed by David Lang: the writings (2022), Schnittke: Psalms of Repentance (2023) and Tales of song and sadness (2024), a tribute to those two giants of Dutch music culture, conductor Frans Bruggen and composer Louis Andriessen.

Led by the rhythm section of Eclat (Drummer Fabrice Di Mondo and bass-player Bruno Ramousse) and helped by guest musicians such as Mirage's guitarist Stephan Forner, French band from Marseilles recorded its first eponymous album in 2005. It starts in a surprising way with a composition that may evoke Primus. A few seconds later, it is nothing but obvious: Negative Zone stands for one of the best Pink Floyd disciples. Every ingredient that made the formula successful in the early Seventies is here, in the "Atom Heart Mother" period: careful singing and Beatlesque vocal harmonies, mindblowing keyboards parts and unreal atmospheres, subtle guitar parts and refined acoustic sequences… Some sudden high temperatures and more experimental passages are also present.

Jack Dupon is a progressive rock band consisting of two guitars, drums, bass, percussion and singing. The music is almost impossible to describe, but Jack Dupon performs a delirious music, full of humour and rhythm, dynamic, giving free way to the imagination. Jack Dupon is primarily a live band communicating a lot through music, but also by their personal universe which really comes through at performances. This adds a higher human dimension, which is mostly felt by the public. An opportunity then appears: let experimental music emerge from the shadows, in order to discover a new landscape remaining accessible to everyone. And this perhaps corresponds to an expectation, even a desire to offer an alternative to formatted music…
