Ted Pedersen

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums from the acclaimed vocalist. This set features Nicolette Larson's first three solo albums from 1978, 1979 and 1981. Larson had been a singer with Commander Cody and on the back of that obtained her Warner Bros contract. All three albums made the US Top 100, with Nicolette peaking at #15 and the single 'Lotta Love' making the Top 10. Larson was very much an interpreter of other people's songs, with producer Ted Templeman coaxing the best from her. Larson sadly died in 1997.

An adventurous singer who is quite versatile, Karin Krog is able to sing anything from standards to fairly free improvisations. She made her recording debut in 1964, appeared at many jazz festivals in Europe in the mid-'60s, and in 1967, came to the U.S., performing and recording with the Don Ellis Orchestra and Clare Fischer's trio. A world traveler based in Europe, Krog has recorded fairly steadily through the years, using such sidemen as Kenny Drew, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, Jan Garbarek, Ted Curson, Dexter Gordon, Palle Mikkelborg, Steve Kuhn, Steve Swallow, Archie Shepp, Bengt Hallberg, and John Surman; she has made records for Philips, Sonet, Polydor, and other European labels.

Cursive ist eine amerikanische Indie-Rockband, deren Alben auf Saddle Creek und nun Big Scary Monsters erscheinen. Die Band wurde 1995 von Tim Kasher (Gesang, Gitarre), Matt Maginn (Bass, Gesang), Clint Schnase (Schlagzeug) und dem Gitarrist Steve Pedersen, welcher jedoch später durch Ted Stevens ersetzt wurde, gegründet. Mit der EP Burst & Bloom (2001) stieß die Cellistin Gretta Cohn hinzu, die im August 2005 die Band wieder verlassen hat. Frontmann Tim Kasher hat im Jahr 2000 die Band The Good Life als Nebenprojekt gegründet, um seine Song-Ideen, die nicht zum Stil von Cursive passen, zu verarbeiten.
