Des difficultés financières vont entraîner le rachat de l'entreprise Castejac de Toulouse par le groupe américain Fielding. Benoît Castejac se rend à Paris pour négocier avec Morrison, le représentant du groupe. Ce dernier charge son directeur des relations publiques, Levêgue, de fournir une call-girl au P.D.G. toulousain : il s'agit de rendre plus agréable son séjour et plus facile la négociation. Prompted by Drake's "Hotling Bling," Erykah Badu quickly recorded this loose, phone-themed mixtape, an official Motown release, with help from producer and fellow Dallas dweller Zach Witness. It's a trivial if fun diversion. Badu puts her spin on "Hotline Bling," quotes "Tyrone," and appends a "ghost of Screw" mix of "Telephone" to one of the low-slung new tracks. Original content is greatly outweighed by covers of songs originally recorded by New Edition, Usher, Egyptian Lover, and Todd Rundgren (via the Isley Brothers). Appearances from a Drake soundalike, Aubrey "Itsroutine" Davis, add to the mixtape's peculiarity. André 3000 joins in on the Rundgren cover, while Seven Benjamin, his and Badu's son, picks up a co-writing credit on the eighth track.

Marta and Nanda are two women tied to a long friendship, but of opposite personalities: one is a romantic dreamer, the other a calculating opportunist. They have been in search of Prince Charming for some time, or at least a nice husband. Marta finds this in the form of a kind upholsterer and Nanda immediately sets to work trying to steal him away, but they are destined to be disappointed: the young man himself turns out to have a crush on… a bearded viking.
