A long time ago, my uncle told me that a good song should be about a personal experience. How could you put feeling into a song if you didn’t experience it for yourself? Like for most of us, not all of my relationships were a success. Thats why we kick things off with Long Gone. From here we go to a more recent subject, It’s A Jungle Out There, which is a reflection of today’s society and governments. Let me ask you one question! Why do we need a wall? We can’t eat it! The next song is about being so in love that you can’t see the true face of your partner because you’re simply Blinded By Love.

When people say, “Memphis blues ain’t what it used to be,” they haven’t heard the Daddy Mack Blues Band. All of its members at one time or another played in the Fieldstones, one of the most talked-about urban blues bands since the 1970s. Led by Mack Orr on lead guitar and vocals, this four-piece group is down-home and funky, and the best band around for cuttin’ loose on a Saturday night. Their raw approach to blues is something too often missing in contemporary blues. Since 1998, they have been the house band at the Center For Southern Folklore on Beale Street, where thousands of tourists from all corners of the world have experienced their natural and soulful musical blend. They have also toured across the country, from Huntsville to Las Vegas, and played in Europe.

Who else can combine elements of hip-hop, funk, and blues-electrified here, Delta there, horn driven elsewhere- and still manage to sound sincere? A forward view of the way blues is transitioning in today’s scene…Bell’s an honest poet and an outstanding singer with lots to say. ” Blues Revue Magazine.

Dirty Blues Band (1967). While the Dirty Blues Band's self-titled debut is nothing more than an ordinary late-'60s blues-rock record, it has its value as a curiosity. That's due to the presence of a 19-year-old Rod Piazza on lead vocals and Glenn Ross Campbell, formerly of the great but obscure psychedelic group the Misunderstood, on steel guitar. Unfortunately, Campbell, who had been unleashing unearthly astral leads in the Yardbirds-like Misunderstood less than a year prior to the September 1967 recording of this LP, sounds far less imaginative and special in this context. His steel leads are decent, but nothing to make you sit up and pop your eyes…
