One of the principal characteristics of the Bohemicum (Teplá-Barrandian Unit) is the relative scarcity of plutonic rocks, which are so frequent in the Moldanubicum and Saxothuringicum. The overall positive gravity field of the whole area indicates that plutonites are missing also in deeper crustal level (Dudek 1995). According to Dudek (1995) the individual plutonites may be divided into two groups: (a) basic massifs with acidic differentiates, and (b) granitoid massifs.
