The Doors mark the moment when the American rock underground of the 1960s came crashing into the mainstream.
The group's massive influence on the course of rock music may been overshadowed by decades of lionization of their late lead singer Jim Morrison, whose early death wound up being a pivotal part of their legacy.

A showcase for former Small Faces' frontman Steve Marriott and one-time Herd guitar virtuoso Peter Frampton, the hard rock outfit Humble Pie formed in Essex, England in 1969. Also featuring ex-Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridley along with drummer Jerry Shirley, the fledgling group spent the first several months of its existence locked away in Marriott's Essex cottage, maintaining a relentless practice schedule. Signed to the Immediate label, Humble Pie soon issued their debut single "Natural Born Boogie," which hit the British Top Ten and paved the way for the group's premiere LP, As Safe as Yesterday Is.

Kleptomania is the sum total of 9 years of long hard work from the once great, now split, Chester based band Mansun. The Three CDs in the set are something quite special, consisting of not only the much wanted 4th Album Sessions (Kleptomania), which includes both tracks used on the very last Mansun single, but also fan-voted b-sides and EP only tracks, while the final CD has a collection of Demos and Unreleased tracks hand plucked by lead singer Paul Draper.

Nothing is known of Samson and Delilah, who recorded 'You Bring The Tears' at Malaco Studios, except that their single has been in demand for some time now. Two classic slices of sister funk from Viola Wills and Marcene Harris sit alongside obscurities by Earl Foster, Billy Cee and Tribe whose 1975 funk take on Toots and The Maytals' 'Funky Kingston' has flown under the radar for years. The time is right for proper exposure on dancefloors up and down the country.
