NOW Music is proud to present NOW That’s What I Call USA: The 80s – 4CDs packed with 79 massive U.S. hits – Whilst some were big hits on both sides of the Atlantic, we shine a spotlight on huge hits from America at the time, that have gone on to be as legendary in the UK as they were in the US.

Snow In June is the third major label album by The Northern Pikes released in 1990. It featured three hit singles - "Kiss Me You Fool", "She Ain't Pretty", and "Girl With a Problem". This was the band's most successful album and garnered them three nominations at the 1991 Juno Awards. The nominations were: Group of the Year, Single of the Year for "She Ain't Pretty", and Best Video for "She Ain't Pretty".

Elements: Former Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover's first true solo album is an ambitious concept built around the properties and powers of the four elements – earth, wind, water, and fire – with the four principle tracks dedicated to each one in turn. Recorded with the Munich Philharmonic, plus an impressive arsenal of keyboards, percussion, and wind, the sound of the album is vast, yet never so prepossessing as to leave the listener feeling at all alienated by another ham-fisted attempt to meld rock with the classics.

CD1 kicks off with a run of Synth-Pop gems from established artists Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Blancmange, Gary Numan and Talk Talk alongside some newer bands, The Lotus Eaters, Freur and After The Fire… Japan released a live instrumental, and Yello, Divine, Rockers Revenge and Freeez presented fantastic club tracks. The second disc opens with a stunning collection of Indiesingles from Bauhaus, Marc And The Mambas, The Stranglers and The Glove – featuring members of both The Cure and Siouxsie And The Banshees! CD3 features some huge and long-established superstars Billy Joel with the stunning opener Goodnight Saigon, Bonnie Tyler, Lionel Richie, Mike Oldfield, The Kinks, Olivia Newton-John and U.S. hit for Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton with a cover of Bob Seger’s ‘We’ve Got Tonite’.

Compilation of wild beat bands from the German beat scene, where even the Beatles honed their skills in their early days! As seen in the movie "No Hamburg No Beatles", the German beat scene exploded in Hamburg, the world's largest red-light district, following the example of UK migrant bands. The wave spread to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and other cities. This is a compilation of 18 groups of German wild beats that emerged from the rough production of just cover bands and bands of unknown identity and nationality. - Jimmy Masuko

NOW was recently proud to announce the ‘Yearbook’ for 1985, as we move forward to the second half of the 1980s, and we were delighted with the response to the 1979 edition back in September. However, we haven’t quite finished with those golden pop years 1980 – 1984.

Rock The First Volume Six is a 1992 compilation CD released by Sandstone/DCC. The CD was organized to help raise attention for the 1992 election season in the United States with remastered songs by Steve Hoffman.

NOW was recently proud to announce the ‘Yearbook’ for 1985, as we move forward to the second half of the 1980s, and we were delighted with the response to the 1979 edition back in September. However, we haven’t quite finished with those golden pop years 1980 – 1984.Compiling the ‘Yearbook’ series is a true labour of love, but given that between 1980 and 1984 there were more than 1500 new entries on the UK Top 40 – and on the ‘Yearbooks’ and their ‘Extras’ for the period we have presented 726 tracks – which means there are a number of brilliant songs that we didn’t get to feature… yet. .
