The Green The Garden

The Mission (known as The Mission UK in the United States) are an English gothic rock band formed in 1986.
Initially known as The Sisterhood, the band was started by frontman Wayne Hussey and bassist Craig Adams (both from The Sisters of Mercy), soon adding drummer Mick Brown (Red Lorry Yellow Lorry) and guitarist Simon Hinkler (Artery and Pulp). Aside from Hussey, the lineup has changed several times during the years and the band has been on hiatus twice.The band's catalogue consists of ten main albums (God's Own Medicine, Children, Carved in Sand, Masque, Neverland, Blue, Aura, God Is a Bullet, The Brightest Light, and Another Fall from Grace), with several complementing albums, compilations, and other miscellaneous releases

Whether you're a fan of the Cure or not, when a 30th-anniversary reissue of Wish was announced, along with a bunch of unreleased material, it made even the coldest of hearts tremble. Even though it may not be a go-to Cure album (and who can be surprised as it follows the immense Pornography in 1982 and Disintegration in 1989), this 9th album in their gold-plated discography still didn't receive the critical success it deserved upon its release. Despite success in the charts and reaching number one in the UK in only its first week of release on 21st April 1992, Wish received mixed reviews. However, after more than ten years at the top, the press became more inclined to appreciate the violent electric freshness of grunge as well as more melancholic shoegaze.

After Comes The Dark - the long-awaited fourth album from Kent-based folk rock band Green Diesel is set for release on 16th July. The album was recorded during 2020 at Squarehead Studios in Sittingbourne and is the first to feature the band’s new five-person line-up. The album also marks the debut of drummer, Paul Dadswell, from Kentish acid-folk band Galley Beggar.

Started in early 2011, The Garden consists of twin brothers Wyatt & Fletcher Shears. As insanely prolific as the twin brothers in The Garden are, if you count their side projects the pair have over 50 releases in 10 years to their names, one never gets the impression that their works are tossed off. Spontaneous or freeform, perhaps, but the band’s releases always seem to have a certain askew contemplation behind them. "Mirror Might Steal Your Charm", the brothers’ fifth album, underscores this with recordings that are paradoxically, among the pair’s most matured as well as most unpredictable tracks to date.
