The Gypsy

Rocky Jones and his buddies happen upon two strange moons orbiting each other. They soon discover that both are inhabited by civilisations at war with each other. Needless to say, Rocky and his crew do their utmost to bring about peace.

Alexander Main (Jack Lemmon) is a tired, middle-aged bail bondsman who hears from his former girlfriend Maritza (Genevieve Bujold) for the first time in quite a while. The news isn't good: Maritza is accused of the attempted murder of her abusive lover, and she hopes that Alex can get her out of jail. Alex arranges to have Maritza released into his custody, but while their romance begins to blossom once again, their relationship is still doomed to failure. This downbeat romantic comedy was based on the novel The Bailbondsman by Stanley Elkin.

A trio of traveling skydivers is invited to stay with an uncle when the show comes to Bridgeport. Mike (Burt Lancaster) is the veteran leader who along with Joe (Gene Hackman) and Malcolm (Scott Wilson) are invited to stay with Malcolm's Uncle Brandon (William Windom). They trio finds relationships to be icy between Brandon and his wife Elizabeth (Deborah Kerr), who has the hots for Mike the second they meet. Joe gets lucky with a topless waitress (Sheree North). Many spectacular scenes of skydiving and the preparation that happens before the jump add excitement to the plodding drama. This marks the first time Kerr and Lancaster have been paired together since the classic From Here To Eternity in 1953
