The quirky synthesized noises of Swiss duo Yello have been dance club staples since the early '80s. Early recordings such as Solid Pleasure and You Gotta Say Yes to Another Excess were experimental but tuneful synth-pop experiments, combining Dieter Meier's bizarre vocals and Boris Blank's gurgling synthesizer effects to create distinctive, strange, yet compelling dancefloor anthems like "Bostich" and "I Love You." By the mid-'80s, Yello began to incorporate Latin rhythms into its sound, finding a larger U.S. audience along the way; the immortal "Oh Yeah," by far the duo's most recognizable song after being featured in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Secret of My Success, and countless commercials, even crossed over to the U.S. pop chart in 1987.
My Pleasure is pretty much straight-up Chicago blues, delivered with authority by Gary Primich. James Harman produced the record, and he tames Primich's more adventurous qualities. However, he does bring out the grease and grit of Primich's straightforward blues that was lacking on the previous record, which makes this a very enjoyable, if predictable, album.

Each disc contains the full score of a film from opening to closing credits, unreleased rarities, and bonus material. Then there's the books.
The Top 100 '60s Rock Albums represent the moment when popular music came of age. In the earliest part of the decade, bands were still regularly referencing earlier sounds and themes. By the middle, something powerful and distinct was happening, which is why the latter part of the '60s weighs so heavily on our list. A number of bands evolved alongside fast-emerging trends of blues rock, folk rock, psychedelia and hard rock, adding new complexities to the music even as the songs themselves became more topical. If there's a thread running through the Top 100 '60s Rock Albums and this period of intense change, it has to do with the forward-thinking artists who managed to echo and, in some cases, advance the zeitgeist. Along the way, legends were made.
