‘Schumann: The Symphonies’ sees Robin Ticciati and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra embark upon their first symphonic cycle together in a programme that they performed in concerts across Scotland. This is music that is very close to Robin Ticciati’s heart; he describes Schumann as one of his favourite composers and has often spoken about how important poetry, colour and story are to Schumann’s music.

Arcangelo Corelli is a remarkable figure in music history. He belongs to the most famous composers of the baroque era, but his oeuvre is very small in comparison with that of his peers, such as Handel or Telemann: just six collections published with an opus number and some pieces which have been preserved in manuscript. Most composers of his time contributed to more than one genre: vocal music - sacred or secular -, chamber music, orchestral works and keyboard music. Corelli confined himself to chamber music and one set of 'orchestral' music, although that term is probably not the most appropriate to characterise his concerti grossi.

Batfoot! are a punk rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 2008. They are plays an old school sounding style of punk rock. Staying close to their roots, they are influenced heavily by bands such as The Ramones, Screeching Weasel and The Queers. The music is upbeat, catchy, and most importantly, fun to listen to. The leather jacket clad lads play fast and tight, with only a handful of songs nearing the 2 minute mark.
