Simba et Nala ont maintenant une fille, Kiara. Alors que Timon et Pumba devaient la surveiller, elle reussit a echapper a leur vigilance et rencontre en chemin un jeune lion nomme Kovu. Ce qu'elle ne sait pas, c'est que Kovu est en fait le fils de Zira, une des servantes de Scar. Zira a en fait une idee derrriere la tete: elever Kovu pour qu'il renverse Simba et devienne le Roi de la Terre des Lions.L'amitie entre Kiara et Kovu saura-t-elle depasser cette guerre des clans?

Simba and Nala have a daughter, Kiara. Timon and Pumbaa are assigned to be her babysitters, but she easily escapes their care and ventures into the forbidden lands. There she meets a lion cub named Kovu and they become friends. What she and her parents do not know is that Kovu is the son of Zira - a banished follower of the now-dead Scar. She plans to raise Kovu to overthrow Simba and become the king of the Pride Lands. This tests not only Kiara and Kovu's relationship as they mature, but Simba's relationship with his daughter.

Christmas 1183–an aging and conniving King Henry II plans a reunion where he hopes to name his successor. He summons the following people for the holiday: his scheming but imprisoned wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine; his mistress, Princess Alais, whom he wishes to marry; his three sons (Richard, Geoffrey, and John), all of whom desire the throne; and the young but crafty King Philip of France (who is also Alais' brother). With the fate of Henry's empire at stake, everybody engages in their own brand of deception and treachery to stake their claim.
