Events in the life of a Hollywood studio executive, unfold with the same unrealistic positive coincidences, ultimately culminating to a "happy ending".

A jaded, wealthy couple watch a blue movie in their castle home along with her adult son. The son is testy, so they go into town and watch a circus-like thrill ride. The daredevil woman in the show looks exactly like one of the women in the movie, so the man invites her to join them for a nightcap. Tensions among the family seem to rise.

The BBC version of Life arrives with an at-times breathtaking, altogether stunning 1080p/VC-1 transfer; one that boasts gorgeous colors and remarkable detail, and puts most other nature documentary presentations to shame. Still, comparisons to the series' 1080i Discovery Channel release are the most inevitable and the most unavoidable. Simply put, the differences between the two aren't earth shattering – in some instances, our beloved little "p" may as well stand for "placebo" – but they are notable. There are plenty of scenes and shots in which the tiniest strands of animal hair are crisper, distant foliage is more refined, and the craggly crevices of rocky ravines are more revealing.

A coming-of-age comedy/drama set in Tunisia. Twelve-year-old Noura is an impressionable boy who must learn to reconcile two conflicting worlds - the loving world of Muslim women and the vastly different, harsher world of men - while also dealing with his own budding sexuality.

The Age of Innocence would have never materialized without Martin Scorsese's deep admiration and genuine love for the work of the great European masters. Its passion, period texture and glamour, and especially the experience that it offers are quite simply impossible not to compare to those of the lavish classics that the likes of Luchino Visconti and Max Ophüls directed. The film has been newly restored in 4K under the supervision of its creator and looks lovely in high-definition. This upcoming release also features a very nice selection of informative new interviews and programs.

Pre-war Japan. Sada, a former prostitute now working as a maid, falls for her employer, Kichizo (Tatsuya Fuji, Cherry Blossoms in the Air, Empire of Passion), after she sees him making love to his wife. The two begin a torrid affair where they explore their fantasies and push each other to the limit. The more the relationship progresses, however, the more Sada and Kichizo begin challenging each other, and eventually pain and humiliation replace pleasure.

Desperate to be together, Larry and Noelle make deadly plans. But soon the lovers face a terrible fate determined by the jealous Demiris using Catherine as his pawn.

Women seeking therapy from a relationship counselor are programmed, via the Love Machine, to brutally kill their mates when a hypnotic response triggers their homicidal rage.

Cardinal Richelieu and his power-hungry entourage seek to take control of seventeenth-century France, but need to destroy Father Grandier - the priest who runs the fortified town that prevents them from exerting total control. So they seek to destroy him by setting him up as a warlock in control of a devil-possessed nunnery, the mother superior of which is sexually obsessed by him. A mad witch-hunter is brought in to gather evidence against the priest, ready for the big trial.
