Ghost In The Machine: Definitive Edition Demos is a bootleg gathering various early demos and takes of songs The Police made for their 1981 album Ghost In The Machine. It is rich.

Featuring the alternate, "original track-listing and sequence. This alternate track listing was apparently genuinely considered for release (a production master was created) and the sequencing features three additional tracks: ‘I Burn For You’ (the single mix from the ‘Brimstone & Treacle’ soundtrack), ‘Once Upon A Daydream’ (ultimately saved for the flipside of 1983’s ‘Synchronicity II’ and ‘Shambelle’ (which ended up as the B-side to ‘Invisible Sun’). The songs ‘Spirits In The Material World’, ‘Rehumanise Yourself’, ‘One World (Not Three)’ and ‘Hungry For You’ all feature Stewart Copeland counting in the tracks. This audio does not feature on the 1981 release.

Every Move You Make: The Studio Recordings is a six vinyl LP box set which brings together The Police’s entire recorded studio albums, as well as a 12-track sixth disc entitled Flexible Strategies, which contains exclusive bonus material of non-album recordings and B-sides.

On 8 November, The Police will be reissuing re-mastered 180g heavyweight vinyl of Reggatta de Blanc, Zenyatta Mondatta, Ghost in the Machine and Synchronicity as well as a 6-CD boxset edition of 2018’s Every Move You Make: The Studio Recordings that brings together all their studio albums with the addition of a bonus disc of B-sides entitled ‘Flexible Strategies’.
