The Pyramids

A brand new 4LP box set bringing together the incredible 1970s recordings of Afrofuturism pioneers The Pyramids, led by saxophonist Idris Ackamoor. The set features the remastered LPs Lalibela, King Of Kings and Birth / Speed / Merging alongside the first ever vinyl issue of their live session for KQED TV in 1975.

Every child of the modern world has grown up with an understanding of the pyramids of ancient Egypt as some of the most incredible structures the human race has ever produced.

People have been searching for Atlantis ever since Plato plublished the story back in 359 BCE. They have been looking for evidence of the Great Flood ever since the story was published in the Bible. Now physical evidence confirms that floodwaters damaged the Great Pyramid and other structures on the Giza Plateau. Khafre, the tallest pyramid was damaged by the flood except its top. A cap was left on the top of this pyramid that now acts as the high-water mark for Noah’s Great Flood. The evidence show that this flood was caused by the same cataclysm that destroyed Atlantis.

The construction of the Egyptian pyramids remains an enigma, an unsolved mystery.
