Digitally remastered two CD set containing four Smash/Mercury Records albums from The Killer, dating from 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1978. Together features Jerry Lee's sister Linda Gail and the album included the US Country Top 10 single 'Don't Let Me Cross Over'. Live At The International and In Loving Memories - The Jerry Lee Lewis Gospel Album are what they say they are Keeps Rockin was his last for Mercury and with producer Jerry Kennedy. Like the others in this package, the album made the US Country charts, and also produced the Country hit 'I'll Find It Where I Can'. His gospel performances of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lily of the Valley" and live renditions of "Jambalaya, " "Take These Chains from My Heart" and "Flip, Flop and Fly" join his country Top 10s "Don't Let Me Cross Over" and "I'll Find It Where I Can, " his spins on "Blue Suede Shoes, " "Roll Over Beethoven, " "Sweet Little Sixteen" and more.

The Modern Jazz Quartet was certainly one of the most distinctive voices in the history of jazz, thanks to the unique qualities of personal expression and collective vision of its members Milt Jackson, John Lewis, Percy Heath and Connie Kay (who had replaced original drummer Kenny Clarke by the time the band started recording this music). They were also exceptionally prolific during their tenure at Atlantic Records, producing 14 albums in eight years. In 2013, David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label released Who is William Onyeabor?, a compilation of the obscure, but increasingly influential Nigerian musician William Onyeabor. Now (in 2014) follows a 9xCD box set that collects the entirety of Onyeabor’s recorded output.

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Dee Dee Bridgewater chose to record a tribute album to Billie Holiday. In quick succession beginning in the mid-'90s Bridgewater cut tribute albums to Ella Fitzgerald, Horace Silver, and Kurt Weill, and prior to that, in the late '80s, she was nominated for an award for her one-woman star turn in a European theater production of Lady Day, the Holiday story. That Bridgewater would eventually turn to Holiday (whose given name of Eleanora Fagan explains the title) for an album-length exploration was almost a given – it was just a question of when. It's one of her grandest efforts, too.
