Half Speed ReMasters HiRes Re-Issue: A Bigger Bang is the 22nd British and 24th American studio album by the Rolling Stones, released on Virgin Records in September 2005. A Bigger Bang is an ambitious, wide-ranging collection of hard-hitting, high-powered rock and blues songs. Running a full sixteen tracks, it is the band's longest new album since 1972's Exile on Main Street. Key cuts include 'Streets Of Love', 'Rough Justice' and 'Back Of My Hand', a raw, rough-edged new song in the classic Rolling Stones blues style. A Bigger Bang was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins.

The Rolling Stones’ first studio album of the new millennium, 2005’s A Bigger Bang, made its mark around the world. It charted in the top five in almost two dozen countries and earned Platinum or Gold certifications in the U.S., U.K., and other international territories. Messrs. Jagger, Richards, Watts, and Wood supported the album with A Bigger Bang, the tour, between 2005-2007 – and it became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time (until U2 usurped its crown). On February 8, 2006, the Stones took the proceedings to Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a massive free concert. That show was captured on film and released to cinemas and DVD while the audio was broadcast on XM Radio. Now, the mega-show is coming to various formats in remixed, re-edited, and remastered form as The Rolling Stones: A Bigger Bang – Live on Copacabana Beach on July 9 from Eagle Rock Entertainment.

A Bigger Bang is the twenty-second studio album by The Rolling Stones. It is a follow-up to their previous full-length studio album, 1997's Bridges to Babylon, and like Bridges to Babylon and its 1994 predecessor Voodoo Lounge, the album was again produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins. The album features a more basic, stripped-down style reminiscent of Some Girls, but with a harder, more contemporary edge. Many of these songs were recorded with just the core band of Richards, Jagger, and Watts. Ronnie Wood was absent from some of the sessions, playing on only ten of the sixteen tracks, with only very occasional contributions from outside musicians comprising the recording of the album.

Shine a Light is a 2008 documentary film directed by Martin Scorsese documenting two 2006 performances that took place during English rock band The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour.[1] It also includes archive footage from the band's career. The film takes its title from the song of the same name, featured on the band's 1972 album Exile on Main St. A soundtrack album was released in April 2008 on the Universal label. Scorsese filmed the Rolling Stones at New York City's Beacon Theater on October 29 and November 1, 2006. The music was recorded, mixed and co-produced by Bob Clearmountain. The concert footage is preceded by a brief semi-fictionalised introduction about the preparations for the shows, and is intercut with historical news clips and archival interviews with band members. The shows, which were added to the tour schedule for the purposes of the film shoot, featured a different set list than was typical of other shows on the tour (see below), and were noted for their star-studded crowds, including former President Bill Clinton and former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski.[2][3] The film also shows Jack White, Buddy Guy and Christina Aguilera performing with the band.

Hackney Diamonds is the 24th British and 26th American studio album by British rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 20 October 2023 on Polydor. It is the first studio album of original material by the band since 2005's A Bigger Bang and the band's first following the 2021 death of drummer Charlie Watts, who contributed to some tracks in 2019. The album features guest contributions from Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and former Rolling Stone bassist Bill Wyman. Hackney Diamonds received a generally positive critical reception, with some critics considering it the band's strongest album in decades. The release was promoted by the singles "Angry" and "Sweet Sounds of Heaven". Marketing for the album included publicity stunts and merchandising that included worldwide fashion retail pop-ups, as well as cross-promotion with several sports teams.

This legendary Rolling Stones concert filmed during their Japanese tour (Tokyo February 1990) features outstanding performances of classic Stones tracks.
By the time the Rolling Stones began calling themselves the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the late '60s, they had already staked out an impressive claim on the title. As the self-consciously dangerous alternative to the bouncy Merseybeat of the Beatles in the British Invasion, the Stones had pioneered the gritty, hard-driving blues-based rock & roll that came to define hard rock.
