The Phantom Stranger is a mysterious supernatural guide and specialist in the occult. His paranormal origins and even his true nature are largely unknown, although he has acted as an agent of the Lords of Order. He has been a member of the Justice League, Quintessence, Trenchcoat Brigade and the Sentinels of Magic. Phantom Stranger was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino.

Having been featured by a variety of comic book publishers over the years, the origins of the comic strip fictional crime fighter operating out of the African jungle created in 1936 by Lee Falk was retconned by Moonstone in 2006 and that series ran for 26 issues with 2 annuals. Last year (2008) Moonstone re-launched the series as starting with Issue #0, a retelling of the the origins of the character as based on Falk's comic strips. Issue #3 is the 3rd and final part of the initial story arc entitled, "End War."
