Esteemed by such important figures in modern music as John Zorn (not to mention contemporary directors like Martin Scorsese), he was frequently placed among not just the finest soundtrack composers but the most important contemporary composers of any sort.

Jake Monaco (Dumplin’, Let’s Be Cops, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Jerry & Marge Go Large, Like a Boss, Keeping Up with the Joneses) has composed the original music for the upcoming Disney+ animated series Cars on the Road. The show is based on Pixar Animation Studios’ feature franchise and follows Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater as they head east from Radiator Springs on a cross-country road trip to meet up with Mater’s sister. Marc Sondheimer is producing the project. Steve Purcell, Bobby Podesta and Brian Fee have directed the nine episodes of the show’s first season. Monaco has previously scored Pixar’s shorts series Forky Asks a Question, the Pixar SparksShorts film Out, the Toy Story short Lamp Life and also arranged score for the Academy Award-winning Sondheimer-produced Pixar short Piper. Cars on the Road will premiere on September 8, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.

Case in point, Wes has now dropped a new album titled The Astral Hand, which you can hear below, and man, it is not what most Limp Bizkit fans might expect.

Written and produced by ELO frontman Jeff Lynne, the double album is among the most commercially successful records in the group's history, selling about 10 million copies worldwide by 2007. The 30th Anniversary Edition was released in February 2007 with three bonus tracks, as part of the Sony/BMG Music Epic/Legacy series. The 30th anniversary issue was a limited pressing in hardback book with expanded 24-page full colour booklet. It includes full-length sleeve notes by Lynne and ELO archivist Rob Caiger, as well as rare photos and memorabilia. A push-out replica ELO Space Station is included as well as the standard jewel case edition with a full colour 12-page edited booklet. The album once again reached the top twenty album charts in the UK peaking at number 18.
