"Breaking the Chains" is the debut studio album by heavy metal band Dokken. The album was originally released in 1981 in Europe as "Breakin' the Chains" on the French label Carrere Records. This version contains some different mixes and titles of songs from the later US edition. "Paris Is Burning" is called "Paris" and is actually a studio version as opposed to the live recording in Berlin from December 1982. The album also contained a song called "We're Illegal", which was later turned into "Live to Rock". The album was renamed and released in the US in 1983 by Elektra Records and reached #136 on the Billboard 200 chart.

One of three best-selling albums recorded by pianist Joe Sample in the late 1970s and early 1980s, this diverse collection of smooth jazz-pop includes vocal numbers by Flora Purim and other singers as well as the final track, an acoustic song entitled "Sonata In Solitude". Sample composed the entire album himself except for one collaboration with lyricist Will Jennings.

It's time then, in typically silveresque anniversary fashion, to celebrate two and a half decades of Weller and co. with this portable three-CD box set of rarely heard sessions from the secretively maintained BBC archives. Time Life was founded in 1961 as the book division of Time Inc.. It took its name from Time Inc.'s cornerstone magazines, Time and Life, but remained independent of both. During 1966, Time Life combined its book offerings with music collections (two to five records) and packaged them as a sturdy box set. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the selection of books, music and videos grew and was diversified into more genres. When record labels stopped producing vinyl albums in 1990, Time Life switched to CD only. In the mid-1990s, Time Life acquired Heartland Music, with the Heartland Music label now appearing as a brand. This company was subsequently sold off and is no longer attached to Time Life.
