Formed Seattle in 1982, Metal Church consisted of vocalist David Wayne, guitarists Kurdt Vanderhoof and Craig Wells, bassist Duke Erickson, and drummer Kirk Arrington. Their 1985 self-titled debut album, recorded when the thrash/speed metal genre was still evolving, made a huge splash on the scene, as did its similar follow-up, The Dark…

Metal Church was formed when the thrash metal genre was still evolving. Best exemplified on their early releases, Metal Church's guitar work and vocals were very aggressive while retaining a degree of melodicism that many other American thrash bands had abandoned. As a result, it is often debated among critics and fans whether the band's sound is best described as thrash metal, power metal, or a combination of these two heavy metal subgenres. Lyrically, the band's themes are usually dark, with early topics such as conflict and fear expanding to philosophical and social commentary later on. After releasing five full-length albums and touring extensively throughout the '80s and early '90s, Metal Church disbanded in 1993, but decided to re-form five years later. Having endured numerous lineup changes since, they are now working with their third vocalist, and have released four more studio albums.
HELL'S THRASH HORSEMEN is a killer Thrash Metal band from Russia. These guys have such a cool old school Thrash Metal sound that takes me back to high school when I was heavily into Thrash Metal. They have a fast paced adrenaline Thrash sound with killer riffs, grooves, hooks & change ups. The vocals are mid ranged throaty Thrash vocals. If you were to mix together EXODUS, FORBIDDEN, TESTAMENT, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION & D.R.I. together you'd come close to what HELL'S THRASH HORSEMEN has to offer. A great blend of Bay Area Thrash, German Thrash & Crossover music! An absolute must for any die hard Thrash Metal fan!
Many seem compelled to call The Antichrist the 'comeback' album for Destruction, but this not chronologically nor logically the case. The sound here is one lifted straight from its predecessor, All Hell Breaks Loose, but pummeled into perfection…
Metal Allegiance burst onto the scene in 2015 with one of the strongest debut metal albums in years. It’s even more impressive when you consider that Metal Allegiance are a collaboration, a metal super-group comprised of some of the busiest and most decorated musicians in the genre. David Ellefson (MEGADETH), Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT), Mike Portnoy (SONS OF APOLLO, ex-DREAM THEATER, et al.) and Mark Menghi comprise the core four, and are joined by a laundry list of metal legends both new and old…
