Tim Anderson

Nanban: Japanese Soul Food is an exploration of southern Japanese cookery focused on authentic yet easy-to-follow recipes. These recipes are set within the context of the region's history and the story of 2011 MasterChef winner Tim Anderson's personal relationship with the cuisine of Japan; from first discovering Japanese food on American TV as a teenager, through his time spent as a researcher and English teacher in Japan, up to his victory on MasterChef and opening the Nanban pop-up restaurants in London.

Miller Anderson is most known for his stints in several blues-rock-oriented groups, especially the Keef Hartley Band, with whom he made several albums in the late '60s and early '70s. Shortly after leaving the Keef Hartley Band, he made a brief bid for a solo career, though only one album resulted (1971's Bright City) before he went back to his usual role as bandmember.

Encore was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and recorded at Nashville's historic RCA Studio along with additional production at House of Blues and Farmland Studio. The album features eleven songs, including "All On My Mind" (written by Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid, East and Aaron Raitiere), "King For A Day" (written by East, Chris Stapleton and Morgane Stapleton), "Girlfriend" (written by East, Cobb, Raitiere and Tim Bergling) as well as renditions of songs by Ted Hawkins and Willie Nelson. The release of Encore culminates a breakout series of years for East following his widely praised debut album, Delilah, which NPR Music called "an eclectic, fully formed debut."
