To Beast or Not to Beast is the sixth studio album of Finnish hard rock band Lordi that was released on March 1, 2013. As is traditional for the band, their costumes were renewed again for the release of this album. The album was produced and mixed by Michael Wagener.
April Wine (like any good wine) got better with age, and the Canadians' brightest moment only arrived over a decade into their career with 1981's The Nature of the Beast. Opener "All Over Town" lurches into action on a lopsided riff before finding its awesome groove, – a groove they seldom abandon through and to the end of the disc…
If a few breaks had come his way, David "Rock" Feinstein would have left his mark on the heavy metal masses a long time ago. As the leader of local New York rockers the Rods, Feinstein supplied vocals and guitar work to quite a few cult classic albums throughout the '80s. Not to mention a little-known fact: Feinstein's cousin was none other than Ronnie James Dio, and the two played together while both were members of Elf. And in 2010, Feinstein got around to issuing quite possibly his best solo effort yet, Bitten by the Beast. His roots with Dio continued to run deep up until the end (Dio passed away a few months before the release of Bitten by the Beast), as the album was one of the first to be released on Dio's newly formed label, Niji Entertainment, and even features a track with none other than Dio himself on vocals, the anthemic "Metal Will Never Die."
Energetic, massive, focussed – that’s how Mob Rules appear on their new album. The success of their previous album “Tales from Beyond” was the impetus being used by the six rockers to bundle their energies and produce this new and very straightforward album…
Malta-based brutal death metal horde BEHEADED will release their long-anticipated fifth full-length next year via Unique Leader Records. Entitled Beast Incarnate, the infernal, eight-track production draws upon the brutal and melodic approach to 2012’s critically-championed Never To Dawn offering. Welcoming drummer Davide Billia and guitarist Simone Brigo to the fold, the album seethes with the band’s self-proclaimed Mediterranean brand of brutality belting out caustic vocals, punishing riff and crushing drum sequences. Recorded at MKII Recording Studio (Italy) and mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Teadeat, Bone Gnawer, Aeon, Those Who Bring The Torture etc.) at Enhanced Audio Productions Sweden, Beast Incarnate comes shrouded in the cover art of Gabriel Alegria Sabogal stretches the boundaries of BEHEADED’s signature sound to meet new extremes.
