Toto's compilation is to be recommended in that it contains all four of the group's Top Ten hit singles – "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," "Africa," and "I Won't Hold You Back." It also contains four more of Toto's 14 pop chart singles – "Georgy Porgy," "99," "I'll Be Over You," and "Pamela.

Toto were formed in LA in the late 70's by a group of friends who were all much in demand session musicians. They went on to epitomise the classic American pop/rock sound of the 80's and 90's with hit albums and singles including Hold The Line, Africa, I'll Be Over You and the multi-Grammy winning worldwide hit Rosanna.

Columbia's two-disc Greatest Hits compilation provides longtime Toto fans with a whole lot to love (except anything from the brilliant Dune soundtrack). For the average pop fan, a smaller, single-disc collection like 2003's Essential Toto will provide them with all of the "Africa," "Roseanna," and "Hold the Line" they could ever want.
