Three CD set. Following on from our 2020 release Pink Fairies and Friends Volume 1, we bring you the second instalment, a collection courtesy of Paul Rudolph, and Andy Colquhoun who joined the Fairies on guitar and vocals for their 1987 album Kill 'Em And Eat 'Em. First off, we have a live recording of The Pink Fairies in Finland 1971 followed by Buried Treasure by Mick Farren & Andy Colquhoun of The Pink Fairies' forerunner The Deviants. And finally Andy Colquhoun's solo album String Theory. Though the whole Deviants/ Fairies ramshackle, often dysfunctional circus amounted to a mere footnote in the broader history of Brit rock and roll, it was an entertaining and frequently thrilling ride. This top value set righteously celebrates the Fairies and their Deviant family.

Carly Simon's legendary surprise concert at New York's Grand Central Terminal will be released on audio and Blu-ray for the first time on January 27. 'Live at Grand Central'-The video has been digitized and converted to HD, re-edited and the audio has been re-mixed by multi-Grammy Award winning producer and engineer, Frank Filipetti and re-mastered-The concert will be available on Blu-ray, CD, vinyl and digital streaming platforms via MRI/Sony.
In April 1995, commuters walking through Grand Central were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Simon and her band performing a full, unannounced concert in the middle of the main terminal. The concert-Simon's first in fourteen years-was filmed and aired on Lifetime for a television special which was released on VHS later that year.

In the liner notes of Letters Never Sent, Carly Simon reveals that during her '93 spring cleaning she discovered a box of old, unmailed letters in her closet. "I set a handful of them to music," she explains, "adding a rhyme here, deleting a noun or verb there, and allowing the emotions to find comfortable rhythms." Simon hasn't completely abandoned parallel meter, rhyme schemes, or verse-chorus structure, but she has loosened their grip sufficiently to create a new kind of pop song which has the prose feel and specific focus of a personal letter. Not all these experiments work, but the best of them have the fresh air of something genuinely new.
