Transmission Impossible classic FM concert recordings broadcast in the 70s, the 80's & the 90's. This spectacular 3xCD set features some of the finest live shows ever performed by Fleetwood Mac! Formed in London in 1967, Fleetwood Mac have gone through as many personnel changes across the last 50 years as any band from that era still in existence. And although two members from the start still remain on board in the shape of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, and Christine Perfect (later McVie s wife, after which she adopted his name) joined in 69, the biggest change came when Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined Mac in 1975. This spectacular 3 x CD set features some of the finest live shows ever performed by Fleetwood Mac, kicking off with a performance the newly-augmented band gave in December 1977 in Tokyo, Japan, some 10 months after the release of their classic Rumours LP.

The first disc here includes the group’s performance at the intimate Ebbets Field venue in Denver Colorado, recorded on 19th July 1973, just a few months after the release of Dixie Chicken, arguably Little Feat’s most cherished album. Next up comes the 1974 in-studio recording they made for transmission at New York’s Ultrasound Studios on 19th September that year, shortly after Feats Don’t Fail Me Now came out, another favourite LP among those in the know. Finally, the set concludes with one of the most famous gigs they ever performed, the 1975 Halloween show from Boston’s majestic Orpheum Theatre, a recording made a month before The Last Record Album was issued.

SUPERB THREE DISC SET FEATURING RARE LIVE & STUDIO RECORDINGS FROM THE 60s, THE 70s & THE 90s. Originally formed way back in 1958, the Bee Gees worked in so many styles and guises through their extraordinary career that there can barely be a music fan alive who doesn t appreciate at least some of their work. There is of course, also, the vast majority who appreciate nearly all of it, such was the supreme ability of the Brothers Gibb to compose and perform one of the most joyous and exceptional back catalogues in musical history. And this 3 CD Set, which features live and studio recordings made for radio and TV broadcast at various points in their career, is directed loudly and proudly at just such a fan. Featuring, on Disc One, tracks recorded for BBC Transmission on the (then) newly formed Radio One in 1967 and 1968, Disc Two continues with a show the group recorded for the soundstage programme in 1975, made shortly before the Bee Gees became one of the most famous and cherished pop groups in the world during the disco boom of the late decade. Concluding this collection, Disc Three contains the brothers VH1 Storytellers set, recorded for both TV and Radio broadcast in 1998.

With an influence as far reaching still as their musical eclecticism was during the band s golden era, Little Feat remain one of the very finest American groups of the 1970s. And while their classic LPs from that time remain essential, it was during their live shows that they transcended mere excellence and took proceedings to somewhere quite extraordinary, if not supernatural. This delightful triple disc set captures perfectly the mighty Feat doing exactly what they did best, when they were doing it best. Featuring three complete FM radio broadcast recordings from the years 1973, 1974 and 1975 respectively, during which the true nature of this legendary act, nay institution, is revealed in dynamic performance and magnificent audio quality, this collection will surely become a fixed asset in the collections of fans the world across.

After quitting the Velvet Underground in August 1970, Lou Reed took a job at his father's tax accounting firm. In 1971 he signed a recording contract with RCA Records and recorded his first solo album in London with top session musicians including Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman. The album, Lou Reed, contained smoothly produced versions of unreleased Velvet Underground songs, some of which had originally been recorded by the Velvets for Loaded but shelved. The record was largely overlooked by most music critics and it did not sell well. In December 72, Reed released Transformer.

Having emerged from the post-new wave scene in Britain and existed as a bridge between the styles of post-punk and progressive rock, Marillion would become the most commercially successful neo-prog band of the 1980s. Marillion's recorded studio output since 1982 is composed of twenty albums and generally regarded in two distinct eras, delineated by the departure of original lead singer Fish in late 1988 and the subsequent arrival of replacement Steve Hogarth in early 1989. The band achieved eight top ten UK albums between 1983 and 1994, including a number one album in 1985 with Misplaced Childhood, and during the period the band were fronted by Fish they had eleven top 40 hits on the UK Singles Chart. They are best known for the 1985 singles "Kayleigh" and "Lavender", which reached numbers two and five respectively, with "Kayleigh" also entering the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. This new triple CD set focuses on the era during which Fish fronted the band, and features a selection of previously unreleased live broadcast and demo recordings from the years 1979 to 1988.

3 X CD SET OF CLASSIC DOORS BROADCAST RECORDINGS Both unique and controversial, The Doors remain among the most influential rock acts of the 1960s, largely because of Jim Morrison's lyrics and charismatic but unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death in 1971, the remaining members continued as a trio until disbanding in 1973- it s no secret that bereft of their former front-man the group became somewhat pedestrian. This triple disc box set collects together live performances by The Doors from the period during which they were extraordinary in the extreme. Featuring two individual shows from 1970 recorded for live broadcast in Detroit and Seattle, plus a third disc containing performances recorded for television transmission between 1966 and 1968, this set is among the finest collection of live Doors recordings yet released.

Genre: Rock, Punk Rock, Classic Rock

The Ramones may or may not have invented punk rock, but they were inarguably the most important band in punk history, creating the stylistic prototype that would be followed by countless bands who emerged in their wake. They were informed by the thunder and flash of the Who and the MC5, the speed and primitivism of Iggy and the Stooges, and the alternately sullen and goofy musings of '60s garage rock, but the Ramones synthesized their influences into something raw and revolutionary, a fury of pounding rhythms and downstroked guitars married to rudimentary melodies and comically absurd lyrics that both mocked and celebrated popular culture and teenage life. The Ramones were tuneful, aggressive, and challenging in their embrace of minimalist fury, and while bands from the Clash and the Sex Pistols to Rancid and Green Day would build on their formula, it's essentially impossible to imagine any of those bands, or punk as we know it, without the Ramones' guiding example.
