Unlike 1994’s "Feel", which had a lighter sound with definite pop, soul and funk influences, "Addiction" was a definite hard rock record, at times bordering on heavy metal. It is generally considered Hughes’ heaviest solo album, both musically and topically.
Swedish classic rock legends Graveyard return with their long and eagerly awaited sixth studio album. With it's very moody and intense atmospheric tone, "6" marks another milestone in the band's remarkable career. This band has evolved yet again, both in terms of personnel and on a profound musical level. Simply titled '6', the band's sixth studio record may be instantly recognisable as the work of Nilsson and his comrades, but this is a very different kind of Graveyard album. The second record to feature a line-up of Nilsson, Ramm, bassist Truls Mörck and drummer Oskar Bergenheim, it is slower, more soulful, more introspective and a little darker than its predecessors. The new songs reflect the fragile aftermath of a ruinous global sickness, drawing more inspiration than ever from the blues in the process. But despite its melancholy overtones, '6' still sparks and flashes with many moments of riff-driven euphoria.
"Sanctified" is the fourth album for Swedish heavy metal band Morgana Lefay. The artwork, the production (man in charge the mighty Ulf Peterson), the lyrics are just great. The fans of "The Lord Of The Rings" should discover two tracks that deal with this theme. The music is… well… pure and genuine Power Metal at its best (it is recommended to listen to it as loud as possible, for the best results!). The instruments all sound flawless as well, the production is well-balanced.
