Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. They have often been referred to in the Japanese press as the "American Beatles". The band was also ranked #25 in VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. This set from the American Power Pop rockers features the albums Cheap Trick, In Color, Heaven Tonight, At Budokan, Dream Police, All Shook Up, One On One, Next Position Please, Lap Of Luxury and Busted.

Part of a four-volume reissue series from Robinsongs, a division of the U.K.'s Cherry Red, this release combines Loveshine (1978) and Candy (1979), the third and fourth Mercury-era albums from Con Funk Shun. Both albums peaked in the Top Ten of Billboard's R&B chart, aided by singles like "Shake and Dance with Me," "So Easy," "Chase Me," and "(Let Me Put) Love on Your Mind."
