U2 Live

U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin formed in 1976. The group consists of Bono (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals), Adam Clayton (bass guitar), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums and percussion). Initially rooted in post-punk, U2's musical style has evolved throughout their career, yet has maintained an anthemic sound built on Bono's expressive vocals and the Edge's effects-based guitar textures. Their lyrics, often embellished with spiritual imagery, focus on personal and sociopolitical themes. Irish rockers U2 celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by launching their “Virtual Road” concert series with the first-ever digital broadcast of U2 Go Home: Live From Slane Castle. The 2001 concert features the band at the legendary venue, just outside of Dublin.

'ZOO2LIVE', a limited edition U2 live double album, was released in 2006 only to subscribers of U2.Com. Featuring 24 live tracks from the band's legendary ZOO TV Tour of the early 90's, the album came in a specially designed sleeve, with a double-sided poster celebrating the 1993 Sydney show. (The two-disc release featured one additional track - Trying To Throw Your Arms Around the World, recorded live in New York.)

The 4-disc set contains three discs of live footage taken from the Live 8 shows staged in London and Philadelphia alongside key highlights from the seven other concerts staged across the world.
