Five CD box set containing every studio recording that this American trio released during their '60s heyday and their short-lived '70s reunion plus alternatve versions, etc. Although Scott Engel, Gary Leeds and John Maus were not actually brothers, they achieved enormous success in England and Europe and are now considered to be one of the most influential musical forces of their time. The 115 songs include 'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore', 'Make It Easy On Yourself', 'There Goes My Baby', 'Doin' The Jerk', 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' and many many more.

Blacktop Mojo - Under the Sun (2019) Music

A hard-driving Southern rock unit based out of Palestine, Texas, Blacktop Mojo's fiery blend of post-grunge, classic rock, and metal falls somewhere between Soundgarden, Black Stone Cherry, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Founded in 2012 by frontman Matt James and drummer Nathan Gillis, the band eventually morphed into a five-piece with the additions of bass player Matt Curtis and guitarists Ryan Kiefer and Chuck Wepfer. They released their debut album, I Am, in 2014, followed by a heavy bout of touring that saw the group sharing the stage with a wide array of heavy hitters, including Bon Jovi, Sammy Hagar, Candlebox, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Black Stone Cherry, Shaman’s Harvest, Pop Evil, Puddle of Mudd, and Drowning Pool.

A propaganda documentary about North Korea that reveals a few hidden facts because the director continues filming between the scripted scenes. The film follows a year in the life of a family in Pyongyang as their daughter Zin-mi prepares to join the Korean Children's Union on the Day of the Shining Star (Kim Jong-il's birthday). The film opens with the words, "The script of this film was assigned to us by the North Korean side. They also kindly provided us with an around-the-clock escort service, chose our filming locations and looked over all the footage we shot to make sure we did not make any mistakes in showing the life of a perfectly ordinary family in the best country in the world."

"On this concert film we have tried to cover a good selection from Pink Floyd's oeuvre, performed with our newly redesigned light show. However there's so much that Pink Floyd wrote and many of their songs are simply so long that we can only present a selection of their total output. We hope that our choice includes much of their very best work. Thinking of ways to present the music the show has evolved over the years - from the choice and creation of visual projections, sometimes touching on more up to date political events which we believed to be in keeping with some of the Pink Floyd themes found in their work to the complex task of creating a special effects light and laser show working with some very talented and able individuals in the field who have contributed their skills and ideas to develop the show.

Under The Sun exploded onto the scene in 2000 with their debut release from Magna Carta that was produced by the band and mixed by Terry Brown of Rush fame. The recording has garnered strong reviews overall and was hailed as Record Of The Year in Holland and has received a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

The 1974 and 1975 releases from British jazz-fusion outfit Nucleus has just been released on the fine BGO Records as a 2 CD set, chock full of liner notes and line-up information. Both of these albums saw Ian Carr and Nuclues taking on a more funk/rock fusion slant, and while there is still a lot of jazzy tones here, the music is more electrified and filled with more grooves than previous offerings.
The presence of electric piano and Moog synthesizer play a huge role on both these albums, courtesy of Gordon Beck, Geoff Castle, and Carr himself. In addition, lots of wah-wah guitar licks from Ken Shaw and Jocelyn Pitchen permeate the mix, as well as throbbing bass lines from Roger Sutton, all of which can be heard from the opening moments of the song "In Procession" from Under the Sun…

Under The Sun is the 1974 album by Human Arts Ensemble, which featured Lester Bowie, Marty Ehrlich, James Marshall, Carol Marshall, J.D. Parran, Oliver Lake, Victor Reef, Charles Bobo Shaw Jr., Butch Smith, Abdullah Yakub, Alan Suits and Vincent Terrell. Originally a self-released/limited edition project, this was reissued in 1976 on the Arista-subsidiary label Freedom (Arista Freedom) and is a vinyl rip.
