The twisted Richard III is haunted by the ghosts of those he has murdered in his attempt to become the King of England.

As superstition and fear sweep the Middle Ages, an educated rogue named Hopkins (Price) wanders from town to town proclaiming to be an official witchfinder. Town leaders pay him to accuse and then execute – usually innocent – suspects. But when a brave solider returns home to find his sweetheart on the rack, ready to burn, Hopkins realizes he may have whacked his last witch.

Blending the discoveries of factual science with the limitless frontiers of fantasy, Science Fiction Theatre offered Atomic Age television viewers an intriguing look at the possibilities science could provide us in the near future as well as the immediate present. Airing from 1955 to 1957 and hosted by Truman Bradley, Science Fiction Theatre's seventy-eight episodes presented its intelligent and fantastic stories in an anthology format, pre-dating The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.

Professor Henry Jarrod is a true artist whose wax sculptures are lifelike. He specializes in historical tableau's such a Marie Antoinette or Joan of Arc. His business partner, Matthew Burke, needs some of his investment returned to him and pushes Jarrod to have more lurid exposes like a chamber of horrors.
