Wallenstein belongs to the golden age of german prog rock. Their music is not krautrock despite that this album is well influenced by the work of Jurgen Dollase in the Cosmic Jokers project…Wallenstein puts forward a fast and furious neo-classical progressive rock. The epic and symphonic keyboards parts played mostly in arpeggios and falling scales are brighten up by interesting guitars and drums lines. According to me this group is actually (and unfortunately) eclipsed by english prog artists from the same period… To conclude I can say that "Cosmic Century" is a curiosity to re-discover.

Written in his native Prague, Prague Carnival and the remaining works on this disc demonstrate a more nationalistic style. La trama della serie è ambientata in Inghilterra tra gli anni '30 e '40 e racconta le disavventure, in salsa horror-splatter, di un orrendo mostro con un forte senso di giustizia e vendetta contro le malefatte degli umani. Non si sa bene da quale "mondo" provenga e chi sia, il suo volto è uno spaventoso ammasso di bubboni e il suo corpo è praticamente immortale.
